“Supervision is a joint endeavour in which professionals attend to their clients, themselves, and the wider systemic context to improve the quality of their work, transform their relationships, and develop their practice” (Hawkins & McMahon, 2020).
Supervision for Well-being Professionals
I offer individual and group supervision to coaches, therapists, and counsellors interested in online sessions. As an experienced supervisor, I have specialised in supporting professionals working with families in challenging situations and those experiencing loss and grief.
My approach to supervision integrates trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive frameworks to help professionals working creatively with the complexities of contemporary organisations.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Approaches to Supervision, and I am a supervisor on the register of the British Association of Dramatherapists.
Alongside my private practice, I currently provide online supervision for professionals working at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. My previous practice in London has included working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and inpatient psychiatric services (Priory Hospital).
Supervision for Senior Leaders in Education
I provide online supervision for Senior Leaders in education through my private practice, as well as in my roles as an associate supervisor with Education Support and Talking Heads Supervision.
Supervision enhances reflection and creativity, helps professionals in schools maintaining ethical standards of practice, and ensures that the needs of the children are being addressed.
Regular supervision can also help you to manage work-related stress and reflect on complex cases when working with children at risk, and who pose a risk to themselves and others.
I have a long-standing interest in safeguarding and my work with hospices, schools and bereavement organisations has involved liaising with external agencies, such as children’s services, to safeguard children and vulnerable adults from any form of abuse or neglect.
